Human Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) ELISA

VEGF is an important regulator of angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. The VEGF ELISA is a solid phase sandwich enzyme-linked immunoassay allowing for the in vitro quantitative determination of natural and recombinant human VEGF concentration in either fresh or frozen EDTA plasma (citrated plasma cannot be used in this assay), serum, buffered solution, or cell culture medium without prior sample purification. This ELISA is for research use only, and is not to be used in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. The standard curve spans the range of 23.4-1500 pg/ml and the minimum detectable level is 5 pg/ml. If specimens produce values higher than the highest standard, specimens are diluted and reanalyzed. The range of VEGF concentration in healthy human serum an EDTA plasma is 0-600 pg/ml.
